One serve of powder contains 150mg of anthocyanins, which are a type of natural pigment found in plants. Research has linked anthocyanins to a number of health benefits including quicker recovery times in athletes. It’s also suggested that blackcurrants can reduce inflammation and oxidative stress. Interestingly, New Zealand blackcurrants contain 1.5x more anthocyanins than their European cousins.
