Why We Love It
A combination of sun safety and rapid cooling to combat the effects of the Australian sun when you need it the most. As skin moisture evaporates, it absorbs heat, reducing body temperature. Omius technology enhances this cooling by absorbing water into porous graphite, providing a larger evaporation surface. This vaporisation extracts heat from cooling components touching the skin, ensuring prolonged cooling through continuous water evaporation with adequate airflow.

Utilising thermally conductive graphite with a hydrophilic coating, the cooling pieces efficiently absorb and evaporate water for enhanced cooling. The visor incorporates the familiar design of the unique silicone grid to hold the cooling pieces, thus achieving cooling through direct skin contact with the graphite. While thermal receptors adapt to the temperature shift after around 5 minutes, the persistent cooling effect remains active by briefly exposing unadapted skin through cap re-adjustment.

Product Care
The cooling graphite are delicate and susceptible to chipping or breaking due to regular wear & tear. It's vital to handle them gently and avoid dropping the headband on hard surfaces, and ensure safe storage when not in use.
It is important to regularly wash salts and other impurities off the pieces. Gently hand wash the headband and backside of the cooling pieces using soft soap (dishwashing soap works great!). Rinse thoroughly to get rid of all the soap.
