These Sports Crispy Chocolate & Mallow Rice Cakes are the result of Skratch Labs continuously being told that athletes weren’t looking forward to eating their energy food. They asked themselves what the best food for fuelling is – rice, apparently – then set about experimenting with the best ways to enjoy it. The answer? As a crispy, flavoured treat, of course. Every chocolate & mallow rice cake provides 180 to 190 calories, with over 20 grams of complex carbohydrates. This should give most athletes enough fuel for at least an hour, thanks to a blend of brown rice, wild rice, red rice and quinoa. Real fuel from real food, these cakes contain no peanuts, dairy, soy, or gluten and are super light and digestible, providing just enough sweetness without overwhelming the palate.
