When water or sweat evaporates on the surface of the skin, it absorbs heat and cools the body. The Omius technology amplifies this cooling effect from water being absorbed into the cooling graphite pieces, providing a larger evaporation surface. This vaporisation extracts heat from cooling components touching the skin, ensuring prolonged cooling through continuous water evaporation. While thermal receptors adapt to the temperature shift after around five minutes, the persistent cooling effect remains active by briefly exposing unadapted skin through cap re-adjustment.

Product Care

The cooling graphite are delicate and susceptible to chipping or breaking due to regular wear & tear. It's vital to handle them gently and avoid dropping the headband on hard surfaces, and ensure safe storage when not in use.

 

It is important to regularly wash salts and other impurities off the pieces. Gently hand wash the headband and backside of the cooling pieces using soft soap (dishwashing soap works great!). Rinse thoroughly to get rid of all the soap.
